GIVE UP CLOTHES FOR GOOD

Displaymode designed, developed and manufactured these charity clothes collection units for TK Maxx. The units were produced in steel with large graphic areas for communication.

1. The Brief

To design, develop and manufacture a collection point, to receive used clothes for recycling, on behalf of the charity Cancer Research. The unit must be mobile, robust and fit for purpose with large areas for clear communication.

3. THE ENGINEERING

The development team decided to rivet the metal panels together to reduce costs, and added a door to the rear of the unit for easy access. Strong lockable wheels were added to allow the unit to be easily positioned in store.

2. THE SOLUTION

Our design team created a distinctive, but soft edged looking unit with a perforated forward facing message, which was key to the campaign. The striking coloured graphics add to the unit’s visibility in store.

4. THE MANUFACTURE

As the unit was riveted together, we were able to control build quality following metal fabrication and powder coating of components. Units were fully built and shipped out on dedicated pallets direct to store.
