To design a shoe display that gives confidence to consumers by showcasing the construction and design of the product. It is key to somehow explode the product and demonstrate parts.
Whilst the main body and components are mostly acrylic, we used a hidden metal spine within the rear of the unit with welded metal blades to support the individual product components.
By accessing the shoe components prior to final assembly, we decided to create a method to support each part with minimal fixings, so the parts seem to float. We then encased the whole assembly to both protect and add a sense of importance.
We created the large acrylic curve on our wide ceramic heating table. Components were laser cut and line bent and bonded to the inner steel skeleton. Lettering and logos were screen printed
